Siamsin Education Initiative is a project born out of the collaboration of Siamsinpawlpi and National Foundation for India. From its inception in 2014, the project aims at improving Primary Education in the remote Hill Areas of Churachandpur district, Manipur by improving the quality of teachers through enhancing their capacity and making exposure opportunities for students.
The initiative launched “I Have a Dream” targeting seven remote village schools in Singngat and Thanlon Sub-Divisions of Churachandpur district. It benefits 71 teaching staff and about 700 school children belonging to various communities so far. The collaborative Siamsin Education Initiative then evolves into a permanent Study Center presently piloted at Lungthul (L) village from 2018 which will be extended to other villages based on availability of support and strategic requirement.
